Theatre/Performing Arts

A picture is worth a thousand words. A cliche, but yet very true.

I collaborated with the Director of Performing Arts and the Theatre Director, as well as a multitude of students, to bring their visions to life on paper. Supporting the program through posters hung around the school, programs for every show (no matter how small), postcards to get the word out on a new dance program to teaming up with the Admissions team to highlight the performing arts department for prospective families. I wrote, took photos, and worked with students --- either taking their direction, their vision, or a sketch as a baseline --- and came to the team with innovative projects (see folded brochure below).
"Please know that I am and have been in absolute awe of your ability, talent, patience and care as it relates to our shared work in posters, brochures etc. You have given us visual representation that our program has used as fuel to step up our game and live up to your imagery.

"Somehow you have been able to weed through the gobbilygook of my words or the ambitions of a students vision and honor the ideas, but bring it to a place of such beauty, grace and excellence. I have mementos of our shared work hanging in Woodman and will always look back on these posters and plays with such reverence thanks to you and your humble excellence. Additionally, I totally appreciated your ability to tell me when I wasn't quite right in my thinking on something - or that you had a better way to express the same vision. Your artistic directness and ability to listen, collaborate and find areas of overlap will always live so fully in my memory."
